Fact 1
Both Barcode & RFID are automatic identification technologies. They both hold data you can access by using a reader. however barcode technology uses optical while RFID uses Radio Frequency technology.
Fact 2
One of the most serious security issues affecting event organisers today is improper identification of spectators or visitors, participants & support personnel while controlling their access at an event. Barcodes improve the accuracy of crowd ID at events as well as patient identification in a hospital situation.

Recently we received a brief to ensure patrons security wristbands be waterproof & able to remain immersed in chlorinated water for at least a 12 hour period. The material to be used for the wristbands could not be torn, would not stretch, should be lightweight, soft & smooth so there would be no irritation or snagging of skin or clothes when warn by waterpark guests.
Additionally, the wristbands must be easy to apply, be comfortable & adjust to any size wrist. The wristband should also contribute to the promotion of the waterparks brand & it’s fun image, but it didn’t stop there the wristband was also to contribute to the waterparks security processes, crowd identification & access control procedures. Internal systems at the park would enable patron’s with the wristbands fast access to any attraction at the waterpark by reducing customers wait in line time.
We developed our Digital wristbands which not only help solve & meet the waterparks expectations our initial test wristbands were immersed in chlorinated water for over 3 weeks without showing signs of deterioration, all wristbands were in full colour including barcodes which resisted exposure to sun screens, soaps & food & drink spills.
Digital wristbands also offer photo quality images & variable data options enabling these wristbands to mesh with access & crowd control systems to provide a highly visible & functional method enhancing your patrons visit.
