About Us
Wizid PTY LTD was established in 1997 to supply simple effective methods of identification for the entertainment and hospitality industries. Our initial products were wristbands supplied at events ranging from local school fetes to the AFL Grand Final to the Sydney Olympic Games.
RFID, bar coding and variable information are options currently available.
We stock a wide variety of wristbands, both in different styles & colours.
Our wristbands have developed from the Hospital or Patient style of wristbands when a need was perceived specifically in the entertainment area for a secure highly visible means of identification & our wristbands provide that "identification at a glance", where the wristbands can be recognized at a distance & that the wearer is entitled to be in that specific location.
The Wizid wristband range has been enlarged moving from the initial plastic wristband to Tyvek wristbands (an extremely tough waterproof paper), designed not to stretch & therefore cannot be transferred from patron to patron.
While the common perception is a wristband is a wristband & there is little difference between them, which is not the case, as a number of inferior products have entered the market. On the surface these plastic wristbands appear to be the same as our wristbands. Whereas, we guarantee our wristbands against faulty workmanship we have encountered other brands where the clips are faulty & can be reopened or the snaps break, even the plastic used is inferior as the wristbands will stretch back over the hand & the plastic will regain its original shape. This results in the inferior band being able to be transferred to others, resulting in a loss of security & revenue. Unfortunately, because of the nature of these inferior wristbands the event organiser remains none the wiser to the revenue loss.
Wizid wristbands may also be printed with your or your sponsors message or logo. These customised wristbands are an ideal way to promote your brand, safeguard your receipts, while at the same time providing your patrons with an attractive promotional souvenir.
We have also introduced Silicone wristbands & Woven wristbands, which have proven very popular for fundraising or awareness campaigns. These are available in many different styles & patterns, all of which can be imprinted or embroided with your message or logo. Currently, these wristbands are used more for awareness or cause promotions rather than as a security wristband, although the Woven wristbands have recently been introduced into the festival market with a new style of security closure.
At Wizid, we offer you the opportunity to print your own wristbands using our thermal Scanbands. These wristbands use a special printer which allows you to customise your wristbands with a black imprint which is virtually etched into each band. Scanbands give you total control as you determine just what is being printed & exactly how many. EG : If you only need 30 wristbands in Blue & 7 in Yellow, you nominate the image & quantity & that is all that is printed. They can be numbered to even provide seat allocation EG : Row G Seat 34. It’s all up to you. Unlike other styles where there may be excess printed stock lying around at your venue, with the potential for misuse, you imprint only the quantity you need. Our Scanbands are easily adapted for Bar Code use & can be interfaced with Point of Sale (POS) or entry & exit systems.
Recently, we introduced two "pack" style wristbands to make it easy to obtain printed wristbands in a couple of areas where smaller quantities are required. These are our BIG KIDS tm ID wristbands (designed for little kids who would like to be bigger!). Coming with 4 different imprints in 4 colours, these Big Kids ID wristbands are designed with lost children in mind. The child’s name & details may be written on the reverse of the wristband & if the child does become lost, the details provided help ensure the missing or lost child is reunited with their carer. Our other style is our Party wristbands, which are ideal for parties, whether they be 18th’s, 21st’s, Office, Formals, Graduation, Christmas or New Years Parties, where small packs of wristbands are printed in Black in one of four print styles with two different wristband width options 18mm or 25mm.
While wristbands have been our traditional product group, we also stock a wide variety of lanyards. Lanyards are a superb way to make an impression, whether for corporate identity, security, trade shows & conferences. Lanyards are a creative way to identify participants & staff in an eye catching way.

We understand not everyone is the same & customizing your lanyards & accessories is just the way to enhance your corporate image while creating a distinctive way to identify different areas of your business.
Additionally, we can provide tickets for your access control & venue management, whether your venue is a school dance, sports club, hotel or festival. If your group is large or small we have the answer with our hard tickets they are ideal for local drama & production groups. Our standard colour tickets are140mm X 50mm with preprinted condition on the back. We can also provide rolls of the basic Admit One tickets. These are numbered & preprinted with many options including Family, Adult, Child, Student, Admit One, Car Park, Beer, Spirit, Soft Drink, Concession, Pony Rides, Ferris Wheel etc.
We now also offer a number of promotional items which provide great branding opportunities. Our Slap Bands are a long time favourite & come in a variety of lengths & colours. Should you require a shape that is somewhat unusual, we can help you. Recently we have added Rain Ponchos or Plastic Raincoats to our range. Not only are they a fantastic promotional idea offering a huge imprint area for your message logo of 33cm X 33cm but they give you the opportunity to make some money by selling them to patrons at your festival or event. As a festival organiser there can’t be much worse than experiencing rain & not be in the position to help out & retain your patrons.
